"This elderly woman has progressive
supranuclear palsy. Horizontal refixations are made in a series of
hypometric saccades; although, the total range of eye movements is
large. The horizontal saccades are slightly slowed. She cannot make
voluntary vertical saccades. The doll's head manuever demonstrates a
full range of horizontal eye movements. The manuever increases the
range of vertical eye movements confirming there is a supranuclear
gaze palsy."
