"This elderly woman has progressive supranuclear palsy. Horizontal refixations are made in a series of hypometric saccades; although, the total range of eye movements is large. The horizontal saccades are slightly slowed. She cannot make voluntary vertical saccades. The doll's head manuever demonstrates a full range of horizontal eye movements. The manuever increases the range of vertical eye movements confirming there is a supranuclear gaze palsy."
